Höri and the lower lake

An excursion for lovers of nature and culture

This half-day excursion combines a trip on the water with a cultural experience. The excursion gets underway in the early afternoon with plenty of shopping in seemaxx followed by a visit to the Höri peninsular. The charming landscape has captivated many artists, including the writer Hermann Hesse. After a half-hour presentation, guests can wander in Hesse’s footsteps in the Höri Museum and the adjoining Hesse house, the writer’s former home.

The evening will draw to a romantic close: your guests can enjoy a hearty snack, a speciality of the Lake Constance region, on a long trip around the lower lake. We’ll be sailing with the Lang boat company from Gaienhofen, crossing to the shores of Switzerland and then passing Reichenau and Mettnau as we sail full circle. The Zellersee and Gnadensee lakes offer picturesque views of castles, monasteries and undulating hills. A sunset on the water adds the finishing touch to this unforgettable day.
